In these last few weeks, it is safe to say that most of us have been sailing through uncharted waters. Nothing like this has ever occurred in any of our lifetimes. If you watched Pope Francis’s address from St. Peter’s Square, we may be tempted to feel like the apostles as Jesus slept in the boat: “Teacher, do you not care if we perish?” And Jesus responds, “Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?”
If you have not watched Friday’s blessing, you can view it here: Urbi et orbi – 03/27/20. It is an hour well worth your time.

We have been working hard over the last few weeks to bring you prayer, worship, education, and resources to help you during this difficult time when we cannot be together. Each day at 9:00 AM, 1:30 PM, and 6:30 PM we will bring you some form of prayer or worship. A schedule can be found here: Prayer Schedule.

CCD and/or inspirational “BE THE HOPE” videos will also be posted each day as well. Our videos can be found in two places:

  • Our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/StWendelinChurch) – please note: you do not need to have a Facebook account to see our posts. Since we are a public page, all posts are visible even without needing to log in. Videos are available after they are finished broadcasting live.
  • Our YouTube Channel – or scroll down on this page (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4zUiXtDmtQz0TLMbqVC5SQ) – once Live videos have ended, they will be uploaded to YouTube.

We received guidance from both the Holy See, the USCCB, and the Diocesan Worship Office on how we can celebrate Holy Week next week. Take heart – we will bring you these most sacred days in whatever manner is possible!
